Top 100 charity social media accounts of 2013

The proliferation of social media gives charities the chance to reach millions of potential donors at just the click of a mouse. Those organisations which ignore social media and think they can do without it, are missing an incredible opportunity.

Lack of budget or manpower are no longer valid excuses; social media platforms are free of charge and it takes just seconds to, for example, send a tweet publicising your next fundraising event and asking people to get involved.

Visceral Business recently released research which highlights the top 100 nonprofit social media accounts of 2013. The results are shown in infographic below. Where does your charity rank? And where would you like to rank in five years’ time?
