Will Posting Updates Every Day Piss Off Our Facebook Fans?

Will Posting Updates Every Day Piss Off Our Facebook Fans Will Posting Updates Every Day Piss Off Our Facebook Fans?

The only people who see your Page posts – for the most part – are people who have commented, liked or shared your a recent update from your Page. Obviously these are people who welcome your content in your News Feed, so pissing them off is a non-issue.

Why you need to post updates seven days a week

There are several reasons why you need to be posting to Facebook every day.

  • You’re human – There are days when you post content your fans love, and days when you don’t. When your content rocks, Facebook’s algorithm will make sure more fans see it. When your content stinks, Facebook’s algorithm will suppress that post in the News Feed.
  • Your fans are human – You also have different groups of fans who like to discuss different topics you’re posting on your Page. Even when fans see your posts in their News Feed, only a few of them will actually engage with the post. Different people like different topics and prefer different types of content (photos, text updates, videos).
  • Using external channels – If you’re smart, you’re using email, Twitter, Pinterest and other channels to create more exposure for your updates. Particularly the ones that have a high engagement rate.

Consistently posting a variety of content allows you to engage a wider variety your fans, throughout the week. And the research says you need to post at least once per day to increase engagement.
